It is important to talk to your stylist about how much hair you will need for the type of extensions you are getting. Factors to consider include the length, type of hairstyle, length of hair you will need and even the size of your head. The average person uses about 6 oz of 14" hair for a braid in weave. If you are doing tree or micro braids you will need it to be longer to end up with 14 so about 8oz should be enough. If you are adding length and volume to your hair 3 to 4 oz should be enough. The fusion method requires between 75 to a 100 strands for length, and for volume about 175 to 225 for a full head.
